There is a long list of companies, cities and organizations that have “gone green.” West Palm Beach is next on that list. Last week the city announced that, along with its recurring e4 Sustainability Summit, they will be opening the new City Office of Sustainability.
The employees of the city will be assisting businesses, residents and neighborhoods in efforts to reduce their negative impact on the environment. The goal of this new entity will be to reduce the city’s carbon footprint 70% by the year 2050. They will help the city’s government to find ways to cut down on emissions, streamline the waste management system and create alternative business plans that adhere to the “green” standard.
The city of West Palm Beach seems to be in-touch with the eco needs and wants of the community. That is one of the many great reasons to consider buying West Palm Beach real estate.
